One can describe tone as a sound that can be<br \/>\nrecognized by its regularity of vibration. A sound that has<br \/>\nonly one frequency although its intensity may vary is a<br \/>\n\u201csimple tone\u201d. A \u201ccomplex tone\u201d consists of two or more<br \/>\nsimple tones.
